Tenderhooks

Tenderhooks are a 4-piece band from Brighton on the south coast of England. Markus Leinweber is the songwriter, pianist, and singer in the band. Mike Phillips on bass, Andy Cooke on drums, and our latest edition Charl Cronje on rhythm/lead guitar and vocals.

The band will be releasing their 9th album ( it’s finished yeah!) in October this year. All the tracks from 5.4 Light Years have been released as singles on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. I tell a lie. The final track Written Across My Heart was released on Friday 23rd of June. Written Across My Heart is a rock ballad. It has a really catchy heartfelt chorus and melodic guitar lines with an 80s vibe. The first Tenderhooks album was released in 2005 called Devil Rides White Horses, then came Eco Warrior, in 2010, Tenderhooks (eponymous), in 2010, Loving Sword, in 2015, North Star, in 2017, Skeleton Dance, in 2018, 20-20 Vision, 2020, ‘hooks!’ 2021. We’re back in the studio recording new material which is always exciting. Unfortunately, there has not been a defining moment to give the band more fame. Delve into the world of Tenderhooks. A real surprise package, very eclectic in style, with songs that take you on an interesting journey both lyrically and musically.
