Maxwell Avenue is a British Pop/Punk band from Birmingham, United Kingdom. Consisting of Ben Woodward (Lead Vocalist/Guitarist), Jake McCarthy Mansbridge (Bassist), Elliot Prescott (Lead Guitar) & Samuel Warrington (Drummer). Maxwell Avenue has been together since 24th February 2017 and has been growing ever since!
As a band, they are true patriots of speaking about mental health, suicide, anxiety, depression, love, and happiness and base a lot of their music on personal experience. When words are silent music speaks, they hope their music sparks positivity in anyone who feels like they don’t belong or feel unhappy in their own unique life. Their first EP ‘Happily Never After’ started the MA journey with a fresh blend of 2000s pop punk with 1950’s rockabilly with the release of their first single ‘Chevy ‘69’ ”Maxwell Avenue with Chevy ’69. I got a real Beatles feel there, It’s got that rockabilly feel and has a great vibe. Green Day are in there with their influences and that’s probably why I liked that song. Go check them out!” – Alex Noble (BBC Introducing West Midlands) Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the band worked day and night over the next 2 years leading on from their first release to write an album which tells a story from start to finish. ‘Hypercolour Youth’ is Available Now!
