CRUZ are a 4-piece Indie-rock band from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The band originated in 2020 when Sam singer-songwriter and Tom, the lead guitarist, started combining memorable lyrics with catchy guitar riffs when they first met at Sheffield Hallam University.
After coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic, the two looked to grow the band adding Ethan (drummer) and Jamie (bassist) to complete the 4-piece. CRUZ take influence from iconic bands such as Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, and Courteeners as well as more recent bands from a newer era of indie-rock in DMAs, Sam Fender and Viola Beach.
Since receiving an overwhelming response and really positive feedback from their debut single ‘Life of Misery’ (released in June 2022) and their follow-up single ‘Flammable Lights (released in July 2022) the band continue to polish their unique sound and deliver energetic live performances at various venues around the UK. Notably playing Manchester Academy 3 supporting The Dunwells and supporting Overpass at Sidney & Matilda, Sheffield.
